There's a lot to dig into when it comes to the 2016 Oscar nominations, announced today! Be prepared to pipe up with some trivia on this year's nominees, with these 10 fast facts.
1. Sylvester Stallone
, nominated for Best Supporting Actor for his reprisal of Rocky Balboa in "Creed," is the sixth actor to receive two Oscar nominations for playing the same character. He was last nominated for the first "Rocky" film in 1976.
2. At 25, Jennifer Lawrence
is the youngest four-time Oscar nominee, receiving a Best Actress nod today for "Joy."
3. The Canadian connection is strong! In the Best Picture category, both "Room
" and "Brooklyn
" are Canadian coproductions, shot in Toronto and Montreal, respectively. "Spotlight
" and "The Revenant
" were also shot in Canada, meaning half of the eight Best Picture nominees shot on Canadian soil.
4. There's a major etalk
connection in the Best Original Song category! Stephan Moccio

5. Of the eight Best Picture nominees, "The Martian

's nod for "The Revenant" is his fifth career nomination. He's yet to win the actual trophy, but this could be his year, after being previously nominated for "The Wolf of Wall Street," "The Revenant", "Blood Diamond", "The Aviator" and "What's Eating Gilbert Grape."
